Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Our History

The Free Methodist Church of Albion, Illinois was organized in 1949 when seventeen local residents joined as charter members.  They worshiped in a residence on Main Street located on or near the present site of the IGA grocery.  As the society grew, they purchased property at the corner of South Seventh and West Cherry Streets.  A church building was constructed on that site.  Some of the building materials used came from the former Immanuel Church building near West Salem.  The congregation moved into the new building in 1951.

In 1982, an educational/ fellowship area was added to the back of the church building.  That same year a parsonage at 115 South Fifth Street was purchased.  The parsonage was subsequently sold in 2008 and the pastor bought his own home in town.

The church also features the Ministry Center, located just south of the church.  The Pastor’s Study is located there as are guest accommodations.
